I'm Marc, and this is my blog. |
My first full year of college is coming to a close. Two weeks left, and summer break is here. It’s been quite a year, and I can honestly say I’m glad how everything has turned out. The past two semesters have been full of memories.
Everything from hanging out with Ron at the Cumberland Fair, spending those countless hours at the mall with Grant, to doing absolutely nothing in the CVS parking lot with Gael, and Ellen, it has been awesome. Even the stupid things that seem insignificant to some people, like just hanging out with Steve while getting our car fixed after that accident, are memories I’ll always keep close to me. Things have changed since last summer, and people continue to come and go, but I won’t even pretend to understand, or explain why things happen. I do want to thank those who have stuck by me. I’m so grateful for you guys. Coming home, and having you there to tell me that I’ll be alright, and asking what’s on mind, has been a gift that I could never repay.
I’m a new person, but I will not apologize for who I am. I don’t plan on changing anytime soon for anyone, either. This summer is a fresh start to me. Life isn’t perfect, but something about summer is. I don’t know if it’s the way the birds sing when the sun rises, or how everyone gets together to watch the fireworks light up the sky on the 4th July. I just know that in a life full of mistakes, and regrets, true love, and summertime are as close to perfect as you can get.
